【摘要】:Thistestmethodprovidesameansfordeterminingthepercentofdicumylperoxideintechnicalandrefinedgradesofthismaterial.Thistestmethodisspecificfordicumylperoxide.Nointerferenceisencounteredfromdimethylbenzylalcohol,acetophenone,orotherminorimpuritiesnormallyassociatedwithcommercialdicumylperoxide.1.1Thistestmethodcoverstheassayofdicumylperoxideincommerciallyavailablerefinedgradesofdicumylperoxide.Technicalgradescanalsobeassayed,providedthatimpuritiesthatinterferechromatographicallyareabsent(seeNote1).Thesematerialsnominallycontainapproximately99and92%ofdicumylperoxide,respectively.Note18212;Intheassayoftechnicalgradedicumylperoxide,errorsarepossibleiftheproductcontainsanimpuritythateluteswiththesameretentiontimeastheinternalstandard.Achromatogramobtainedunderthetestconditionsminustheinternalstandardwilldeterminewhetheraninterferencesituationexistsintheassayofaparticulartechnicalgradeproduct.Ifanimpurityisnoted,anditsretentiontimeisslightlydifferentfromthatoftheinternalstandard,theinterferencecanoftenbeeliminatedbytheuseofacolumnknowntohaveahighplatecount.1.2Reviewthecurrentmaterialsafetydatasheets(MSDS)fordetailedinformationconcerningtoxicity,firstaidprocedures,andsafetyprecautions.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SpecificprecautionarystatementsaregiveninSection7.
